Bendigo's Lost Miners

Between 1852 and 2002 over 820 mining fatalities occurred in Bendigo. This is a list of the miners accidently killed in the mines, NEW with death dates, who are featured in the book "Bendigo's Lost Miners "

NEW   Women's Suffrage Petition 1891 - Bendigo

In an extraordinary effort to gain the right to vote 539 women from Bendigo put their signatures to the petition that was presented to the Parliament of Victoria in September 1891

St Mary's Catholic School 

St Mary's Catholic School No.812 was established by John Kinnear in 1865 in Michael Street Bendigo. In 1875 the Education Department withdrew its support but St Marys continued as a small private school for a futher 7 years. This is the School Register for the year 1865.
